Why Have DUAA

  • To provide an atmosphere in which the Alumni can use Daystar facilities and premise even after graduation.
  • To encourage interraction between the University of Daystar and it's graduates.
  • To keep the graduates informed and supportive of the work,development and the general activities of the University.
  • To develop a network of professionals among the graduates, whose skills and experience will be mutually beneficial.
  • To provide local inputs and experience to follow up and or implement any viable initiative from Daystar whether of commercial or non-commercial nature.
  • To help in the orientation of students about to embark on courses at Daystar University and providing an Association for them on their completion.
  • To encourage Christian maturing and fellowship amongst members.

    WHAT IS DUAA INVOLVED IN?
  • Interraction among the graduates. This is done mainly through Homecomings. This is the time set aside for the graduates informed through the E-luminator. This is a newsletter which has been proposed will be published every three months to inform the graduates of the happenings of their fellow graduates.
  • Organizing professional forums. This is where professionals from different fields are invited to talk and interact with our graduates in a professional settings.
  • Linking Daystar graduates with potential employers.
  • Visiting other DUAA Chapters in other African countries and worldwide.
  • Voicing the needs of the continuing students to the authorities concerned.
  • Holding family days for continuing Christian fellowship.
  • Raising scholarship fund for the needy (Somesha Fund).
