Somesha is a Swahili word that means to educate. The fund was established to assist needy students and aims to establish an endowment of Kshs. 50 Million by the year 2010. The mission is to rally alumni, students, parents, churches, companies, friends and associates of Daystar University to grow the endowment. The guiding principles for Somesha are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.
In order to grow the Endowment various fundraising activities are lined up in the next two years, and you are encouraged to get in touch with the Coordinator of Alumni affairs for more details on partnering with Somesha.

Daylink Employment Bureau
Daylink Career Placement bureau is a service that links alumni to the opportunities available in the work place. Students and alumni are required to subscribe annually in order for their resumes to be hosted by Daylink. Daylink has strategic partnerships with Human resource organizations, and is aggressively marketing its services to the corporate sector. Daylink in partnership with alumni and prospective employers, hold quarterly career seminars among the students.

- DUAA Pro-Mentorship Program
Mentorship refers to a developmental relationship between a more experienced partner and a protege. The DUAA model is based on Formal and Informal mentorship engagements and is called the Professionals Mentor Program (Pro-Mentor Program)
Pro-Mentor formal program engages alumni volunteers to offer a one month mentorship, based on their personal career experience and involves clear program goals, schedules, training for mentors and mentees plus evaluation. The aim of the professional mentor is to inspire protegees to follow their career dreams in a specific field.
The Pro-Mentor Informal program features guest speakers who give monthly talks to Students and mainly focuses on aspects like Financial Planning, Life Skills, Psychometrics, Communication skills, Family life and any other relevant topics.
